On November 1, author and investigative journalist Erin Einhorn joined the League of Women Voters of Washtenaw for a virtual panel about school discipline and due process protections. SAC was grateful for the opportunity to attend.
Einhorn’s research has been featured on NBC News, revealing how laws vary widely from state to state, as well as how such inconsistencies and injustices are impacting students and families. Here in Michigan, we have seen increases in expulsions, with numbers worse than before Zero Tolerance policy was overturned.
