The Student Advocacy Center of Michigan is the only independent organization in Michigan providing free, non-legal advocacy to students and families within both general and special public education programs.

We Strive To:

• Encourage and promote school policies and practices that work for all children.
• Assist families as they strive to obtain sufficient resources for children who may need additional supports from the public schools.
• Assure due process for students.
• Curb exclusions from public education, and vigorously challenge undue suspensions and expulsions.
• Secure the right to an appropriate and meaningful education for every child.
